RE: 50 mph top speed?

I lost a clamp on my Cat 350 turbo and it was obvious when I could not accelerate from stop light. Took a mile to break through 40 mph. Plus mucho black smoke.

RE: RV.net stickers ?

I made my own with cut and paste from the forum. Printed it out and then laminated with plastic. Keep it taped up in the corner of the windshield. No one has ever commented...we are still a minority out there.

RE: Grand Canyon to Fun Valley Colorado

I believe that Fun Valley may be on the other (eastern) side of Wolfe Creek Pass which is manageable but will deserve your attention.

RE: What is the worst Road you drove on?

"WARNING:
AVOID HIGHWAYS #178 & #276 FROM THE SOUTH & #64 FROM THE WEST
HWY. #64 HIGHLANDS TO CASHIERS IS "NOT" A RECOMMENDED ROUTE
PLEASE CALL FOR DIRECTIONS WHEN TRAVELING FROM THE WEST"
This is the web site warning for approaching Outdoor Resorts at Lake Toxiway, NC. I have never seen tighter turns. I approached from the east on 64 and found it very challenging and can not imagine driving a motorhome from the west without scraping the rock walls on the side. Momma did not like that ride. When momma doesn't like the ride....no one likes the ride! :E

RE: Honda Pilot vs Acura MDX

I had a 02 MDX which I towed and then I traded for a 06 Pilot. Wish I had kept the MDX. Many things lacking in the Pilot that I still miss.

RE: Rear Tires on Class A

It was my belief that you need to match the duals on one side but could use another matched set on the other rear side. Is that wrong?
Otherwise, if you had a blow out on one dual, you would have to buy four tires...2 tires I understand...but 4??

RE: Need Urgent Advice - No Water - Cold Conditions

I don't recall if you are using space heaters in the living area, but these heaters could throw off your thermostats and reduce furnace heat as designed to flow into compartments. I think bulbs or small heater in the service compartment makes some sense.
Sustaining 18 degrees is a tough challenge for any rv.

RE: Got to get me one of these!!

Installation is just a harness slip in at the generator. The rest is wireless. Should be really easy even for me, the electrically challenged. :S

RE: Better Mileage with a new Air Filter ?

I got my best mileage after changing my filter at 24000 miles but I was also driving slower. I got my worst mileage last year when we moved to ULSD fuel.

RE: Worn Goodyear tires

Replaced my 670 steer tires at 22,000 miles and they we aligned at 11000 miles. Classic outside wear and inflation set by alignment place based upon 4 corner weights. :S

RE: Life on Wheels program discontinued

This may be an opportunity for someone to pick up the concept if not the organization. Can not imagine someone won't explore the potential.
I hope so. It always sounded like something that would be fun to attend.

RE: Sirius & XM Radio Updates

I used to enjoy both Sirius and XM over the internet on my computer, but now it would appear that they want an additional subsription for on line. That really annoys me as I am already paying for subcriptions for both. Maybe not in the future if they don't pass on some benefits of their merger to the customer.

RE: Got to get me one of these!!

I just assumed that the generator would shut when the batteries came within range and the temps were low enough to satisfy the autostart regardless of shorepower returning.

RE: Got to get me one of these!!

According to the website, you may have to purchase a 50 dollar adaptor harness in addition to the stated $499 list price. Still cheaper than paid installation.

RE: RV Net Has Arrived!!

Johnny T, your doing a great job. Thing's do happen and are said on this Forum which I dislike at time, I guess that's why my PC's have a delete button. I have not seen a bill from this Forum, and have gotten a lot of help from so great people plus a lot of laughs. Let give thanks not complaints. Again Johnny and Forum, THANKS.
I have not seen any forum complaints or serious political comments on this link. Only information that was requested.
JohhnyT is doing a great job...obviously he was interested keeping this without political messages.
